We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 10am. Following the service, we'll enjoy a fall picnic, including grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings. If you would like to sign up to contribute food or drinks for the meal on the 29th, you may sign up to do so in the church entryway. Most importantly, please bring yourself and come enjoy some good food and fellowship with us!

On Sundays, Sept. 1, 8, & 15, we'll have a short-term Bible study discussing the Christian theology of suffering and also comparing it to other religious and philosophical responses to suffering. Dr. Ken Barnes will facilitate this study. Join us each Sunday at 9:00am in the church sanctuary.

Beginnig on Sunday, Sept. 22, Pastor Kory will begin a new study on the Augsburg Confession, which is part of the Lutheran Confessions. Don't know what the Augsburg Confession is? Then this study is especially for you! Come and learn how the first generation of Lutheran Christians proclaimed their faith even in the face of life-threatening opposition.

Wednesday Bible study is currently "on break." Please save the date for Weds, Oct. 2 at 10am when we'll resume Bible study. Our next topic will be the two great teachings of the Bible: God's Law and Gospel. 

Both men and women of all ages are welcome to join us for either our Bible studies! 

We are currently collecting special dietary food items for the UCA Bear Food Pantry. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free items are especially needed to assist members of the UCA community with food intolerances. Click here for a pdf list of suggested items. Thank you for your support!

We thank the Lord that He blessed our congregation with twelve new members who were officially received on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Most of these individuals are new arrivals to the Conway area. Seven transferred from other LCMS congregations, three by profession of faith, and two as adult confirmands. May God bless and keep all of you as you walk together with us at St. Matthew!

You are invited to St. Matthew on Weds, July 31 for another Prayer Vigil opportunity. This will be held in the church sanctuary from 5:00-7:00pm in an "open house" format. Attendees can come and pray for a few minutes, an hour, or whatever is best for you. Materials to help guide your prayers will be provided for those who would like to use them. We invite you to come and pray for your needs, your loved ones, our congregation, our country, or however God's Spirit leads you in your prayers.
