St. Matthew will have a 6:30pm Ash Wednesday service on Weds, February 14, marking the beginning of the season of Lent. The service will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.Â
Lent is a 40-day season of preparation for Holy Week and Easter. We will have additional Lenten services each Wednesday from Feb. 21 - March 20 at 6:30pm weekly. Our theme for these services will be "On the Night that He Was Betrayed", a 5-week sermon series on Jesus' words and actions on the Thursday night before His death on the cross.
Join us also for an evening of food and fellowship on the eve of the Lenten season, Tues, February 13, for a Mardi Gras themed meal at church at 6:00pm.

In 2023, we began offering opportunities for occasional "prayer vigils" for personal prayer time at church. We'll continue to do so quarterly in 2024. Our next prayer vigil will be on Wednesday, January 17 from 5:00-7:00pm in the sanctuary. Optional resources to help guide your prayers will be provided. Please mark your calendar for the 18th and set aside some time in the Lord's house to spend with Him in prayer.Â

On Sunday, January 14 and continuing through the following weeks, we'll have a new Bible study on the topic of "wellness." As we begin this New Year with many people implementing their various resolutions, we'll reflect on wellness from a Christian perspective, looking at physical health, spiritual health, emotional health, and more. Join us each week from 9:00-9:45am in the Sanctuary before services.Â
