Camp Trinity Sunday

We invite you to join us for a special Sunday on January 25, 2026 as we highlight the ministry of Camp Trinity - the Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean Mountain. The service will include special vocal and instrumental music, updates on upcoming events at the camp, and an offering in support of Camp Trinity. We look forward to seeing you for our first "Camp Trinity Sunday"!

New Bible Studies to Begin 2026

SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY:  Beginning on Sun, January 18 at 9:00 AM, Pastor Kory will lead a new study called "Man and Woman in Christ." In this study, we'll discuss what God's Word says about how we are created as men and women in the Image of God. We'll also discuss many current cultural concerns and applications of this biblical thelology. Join us weekly in the church sanctuary.

WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY:  Beginning on Weds, January 21 at 10:00 AM, we'll begin an overview of all the books of the New Testament. This will be similar to our overview of the Old Testament in 2025. Each week, we'll look at the background and main themes of a book as well as reading and discussing key passages together. This is a great opportunity to grow in your understanding of the Bible and its message! Join us weekly in the fellowship hall.

Trail Life Group

A new troop of Trail Life USA (troop 1517) will begin meeting at Camp Trinity. Trail Life is a Christ-centered outdoor ministry (similar to Scouting) for fathers and sons. Boys in Kindergarten through Grade 12 are eligible to participate. The initial meeting will be on Thursday, January 15th at 6:30 PM at the Camp. Men & boys from St. Matthew are encouraged to participate.

Here's a little more detail from Camp Director, Aaron Davis:  Calling all fathers, boys, and young men! Age range for boys and young men:  kindergarten to seniors in high school. Age range for fathers:  any. The need has never been greater for a uniquely masculine ministry that honors a boy's assertive, audacious, adventurous nature. Trail Life USA unites men in transformational activities and mentors boys to become men of character who honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure. Through a proven process, Trail Life USA partners with parents, trains mentors, and prepares boys with a real-world understanding of biblical manhood - forging a foundation of relevant faith that endures.

Camp Trinity is located on Petit Jean Mountain, 110 Montgomery Trace, Morrilton, AR 72110.

2025 Advent Midweek Services

St. Matthew will hold Advent Midweek Services on Wednesdays, December 3rd, 10th, and 17th at 6:30pm weekly. The overall theme for our services will be "Every Heart Prepare." We'll be reflecting on how things like evergreens, lights, and nativity scenes help us prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior. Each service will be a service of Evening Prayer and will begin with an Advent/Christmas hymn-sing, with hymns chosen by the attendees. Services will also be preceeded by soup suppers at 5:30pm. We look forward to seeing you this Advent!
