Please mark your calendar for Saturday, November 8 and join us for a Chili Cook Off at St. Matthew beginning at 5:00pm. Members of the congregation will be cooking their favorite style of chili in a friendly competition. Please sign up in the church entryway if you are able to contribute a pot of chili or another food or drink item to accompany the meal. Invite a friend and come enjoy a delicious meal with us on November 8th!

St. Matthew's Church Council is calling a voter's meeting for Sunday, October 19 immediately after the service. The Church Council is seeking voter approval for up to $16,500 for four property improvement projects, namely window replacements, door repacements, gutter replacements, and adding a fence around the playground area. We give thanks to the Lord for our newest members, received on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Please join us in welcoming the Barnat, Cox, Krisco, Page, Sullivan, and Thompson households to St. Matthew!

On Sunday, September 28, we will have a Fall Picnic immediately after the service. Grilled hamburgers and hotdogs will be served. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a side dish to share. A sign up sheet for food and drink contributions will be provided soon. We'll also be blessed to welcome several new members in the 10am service on that date. Please mark the 28th on your calendars and come celebrate with us!

On Saturday, September 27, Camp Trinity, the Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean Mountain, will host a free "Music on the Mountain" event. Donations are appreciated as this is a fundraiser for the camp. Barbeque lunch plates will also be available, beginning at 11am. Music will begin at 11am and will continue until late afternoon. A variety of musical genres will be featured.
