St. Matthew Lutheran invites you to a prayer vigil on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm. May 1 is also the National Day of Prayer this year. From 5:00-6:00pm, the church sanctuary will be open for quiet prayer time. At 6:00pm, participants will have the opportunity to join in group prayer, then the prayer vigil will close with a prayer service, which will include scripture readings and a brief devotion. Both members of the congregation and guests are welcome to join us in prayer.

Please join us this Holy Week in remembrance of Jesus' death and resurrection for our salvation!

Palm Sunday Service - April 13 at 10:00am (followed by an Easter Egg hunt for children attending)

Holy Thursday Service - April 17 at 6:30pm

Good Friday Tenebrae Service - April 18 at 6:30pm

Easter Sunday Service - April 20 at 10:00am (preceded by an Easter breakfast from 8:30-9:30am)

Please join us on Saturday, March 22 at 9:00am for an indoor/outdoor spring cleaning event at St. Matthew. Potential projects will include indoor deep cleaning as well as outdoor tasks such as window washing, limb removal, mulching flower beds, weeding, cleaning gutters, etc. As you are able, please join us and lend a hand for an hour or two on Saturday. Thank you!

Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of Lent, is on March 5, 2025. We will have a 6:30pm worship service which will include the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion. Midweek Lenten services will continue on eash Wednesday through April 9. The sermon series theme for our services is "Broken." Each week, we'll be looking at an example of brokenness in this sinful world and restoration in Christ, ultimately leading to the broken justice that Christ endured and the redemption He won for us through His broken tomb! Please join us this Lent as we focus our hearts on Christ crucified. 

Save the date for a Chili Cook-Off Supper on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 5:00pm at church. Join in a friendly competition to make the best chili or just come and enjoy some food and fellowship! Sign up in the church entryway if you plan to bring a chili or soup to share, other fixings, dessert, etc.
