We will hold our annual Spring Cleaning day at St. Matthew on Sat, March 28, beginning at 9am. Projects will include weeding, trimming shrubs, raking and mulching flower beds, window washing, and indoor cleaning projects. If you are able to led a couple hours of your time to help beautify the church property this spring, we would greatly appreciate it!

Camp Trinity, the Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean Mountain, will hold its annual Project Day on Sat, March 21. There will be opportunities to perform a variety of outdoor projects and maintenance items to help the camp prepare for this year's summer camp season. Please contact the camp at 501-652-6304 if you would like to help or if you have any questions. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for the volunteers so your RSVP is appreciated to help prepare adequate food and drinks.

Please join us from Wednesday, Feb. 25 - Wednesday, March 25 for a series of Lenten midweek services as we prepare for Holy Week and Easter. We'll have a 6:30 PM service of Prayer and Preaching each week with the sermon series, "Places of the Passion" based on the Gospel of Matthew. The services will also be preceeded by food and fellowship beginning at 5:30 PM each Wednesday. The LWML will offer a baked potato bar for the first meal on Feb. 25. The Season of Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18, "Ash Wednesday." We will have a 6:30 PM Divine Service that night which will begin with the Imposition of Ashes. Additionally, Pastor Janneke will be available during the day on Ash Wednesday to offer the Imposition of Ashes, private/family communion, individual Confession and Absolution, or private prayer. He will be available before and after the 10:00 AM Bible Study and again from 2:00-4:00 PM on Ash Wednesday. Please contact the church office if you'd like to make arrangements for a specific time. We will return to our normal Sunday schedule on February 1st. Please join us for Bible study and Sunday school at 9:00 AM and Worship at 10:00 AM. The Women of the LWML will also be meeting after the service in the Fellowship Hall. The snow and ice on our parking lot was professionally removed on Thurs, Jan. 29 to make it safe for you this Sunday. We look forward to seeing you soon!
